# Sydney Hypnotherapy Training

## The training

- Provider: Rick Collingwood Global Hypnosis Academy, founded 1993, more than 5,000
  students trained.
- Accreditation: Hypnotherapy Council of Australia (HCA). Recognised by the AHA and
  the PHA.
- Qualification: Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy, plus a Transcript of Studies.
- Sydney intake: 22 to 27 January 2027, in class.
- Structure: theory and case work online, beginning the day a student registers.
  The practical component is completed in the room, because competency is assessed
  live. The in-class component cannot be completed remotely.
- The in-class days: three days of Advanced Hypnosis with Rick Collingwood, one day
  of self-hypnosis, hypnosis for achievement and marketing your practice with
  Michael Nadalin, then four days of Advanced Mesmerism and Magnetism.
- Assessment: a 150-question open-book examination and five self-assessments, plus
  practical competency assessed live.
- On registration: an acceptance letter, all required training manuals in eBook
  format, and permanent free access to the student training and resource centre.

## What is taught

Eight modules: foundations and history; the mind, the body and the client;
inducing hypnosis (the induction family, deepening, fractionation, rapid
inductions); suggestion, script and metaphor by presenting issue; therapeutic
hypnosis and pain management; mesmerism and magnetism (non-verbal hypnosis); the
Total Resolution Process, a five-session client protocol; and self-hypnosis,
achievement and marketing your practice.

## Who it is for

Three routes: practising as a clinical hypnotherapist, adding hypnotherapy to a
profession that already runs on conversation, and using it on yourself.

- No Australian jurisdiction registers hypnotherapists. Practice is governed by
  professional association membership.
